On September 15, 2022, the addition of Buttercup Coffee became a reality. After much mention of wishing someone would open a Faulkton Coffee Shop, JoDee’s husband Jeff, encouraged her to add a coffee shop to their existing business. As a business owner, she looked at what was still needed for this continually growing community. While JoDee enjoyed and embraced her business owner experience, it caused her to view Faulkton through a different lens. The community support continued and Faulkton expanded, giving Oil Up Buttercup the ability to enhance the customer service experience by offering classes to increase their essential oils knowledge. JoDee went from being an essential oils consultant to an essential oils gift shop store owner. doTERRA Essential Oils had become a part of our family’s lives, we wished to share our knowledge to help others.” The support was so great that on February 1, 2018, Jeff and JoDee Bryant opened Oil Up Buttercup as a mom-and-pop store. When asked why she chose to be a doTERRA consultant, JoDee replied, “To stay engaged with our community. Essential oils give a plant its scent, protect it from hazardous environmental conditions, and even assist it with pollination …” - doTERRA. “doTERRA is a Latin derivative meaning, ‘gift of the earth.’ Essential oils are the essence of a plant, distilled and prepared for you to bring the power of nature into your home. After retirement, JoDee Bryant received this support when she became a doTERRA consultant in 2015. Business owners rely on the local community for support. Owning a small business in a small town is not easy, but needed. This year, we are highlighting Buttercup, located at 710 Main Street (Hwy 212).
